Camp Clearwater has many activities to offer your family and the following are attractions in and around the White Lake area. Many are short walking/driving distance from Camp Clearwater.

White Lake Water Park

Adults and Teens can ride the 50 ft tall 210 ft long double Turbo Twister Slide or take a plunge in the brand new 2,000 square foot swimming pool. When you get tired swimming, lounge on the bubble bench and let the hydro-therapy jets massage you back into shape or just lay out on our sun deck and soak in the rays. While you are relaxing, the children can be enjoying our 5000 square foot interactive wading pool and wet deck, kiddie slides, bucket dumps and many other features will hold their attention for an entire day.

Goldston’s Beach

Apartments, cottages, motel, efficiencies, beach, restaurant, grocery store, TV, AC, Sandwich shop, souvenir shops, arcade, rides, piers.

Jones Lake State Park

Venture to Jones Lake State Park and view one of the greatest geological mysteries of the eastern United States-the phenomenon of the Carolina bays. Adjacent to the Bladen Lakes State Forest and home of two natural lakes, Jones and Salters lakes, the 2,208-acre park is a nature lovers delight. Peaceful surroundings and a variety of facilities, including a trail with several outlooks that circles Jones Lake, make this state park a favorite for hiking, picnicking, swimming, fishing and camping.

Singletary Lake State Park

Bring your group to Singletary Lake State Park and enjoy group camping in a land of mysterious origins. A portion of the unique Carolina bay ecosystem found nowhere else in the world, Singletary Lake lies within the 35,975-acre Bladen Lakes State Forest.

Harmony Hall Plantation

Harmony Hall has a long and interesting history. It was about 1768 that Colonel James A. Richardson built his home on a 12,000 acre tract on the Cape Fear River near the village of White Oak. Open Sundays 2pm – 4 PM Open Every Saturday 10am – 2pm And By Appointment

Tory Hole Park

Tory Hole Park is the site of the Battle of Elizabethtown which took place on August 28, 1781. Here a small band of 70 Whigs defeated 400 Tory soldiers at the Battle of Elizabethtown. Today, in addition to its historical significance, Tory Hole Park is a recreational area with fitness and nature trails, and picnicking.

Lu Mil Vineyard

Lu Mil Vineyard is located in the heart of Bladen County at 438 Suggs Taylor Road, Dublin. Lu Mil provides tours, tastings, receptions, private parties, fishing, picnic area, gift shop, antique museum and more.

Moores Creek Battlefield

Throughout the park, remnants remain of the 1776 road traveled by patriot and loyalist forces. A 1-mile trail with wayside exhibits leads through the battlefield and across Moores Creek. The historic bridge site is located along the trail. The park offers a visitor center with exhibits and audio-visual program, a .3 mile colonial forest trail, and a picnic area.

Carolina Sands Golf Course

Carolina Sands at White Lake is a beautiful par 72, 18-hole championship golf course located between White Lake and Elizabethtown N.C. and offers a classic golf experience that winds through towering and majestic pines. We’re located one hour from North Myrtle Beach and the Southeastern North Carolina beaches. The course presents an enjoyable challenge to all golfers, regardless of handicap. Carolina Sands is open for daily fee play and also offers a variety of memberships for the individual, family, and corporation.

White Lake Water Sports & Marina

We’re located on beautiful White Lake.  We operate the only ‘public access’ boat ramp on the lake and a retail store where we offer the latest products to meet your water sports needs.  We feature products by Hyperlite/H O Sports, Jet Pilot, Rainbow Sandals, SportsStuff, Straightline Sports and Maria’s Hand-Made Crafts, Gifts & Baby Items.

Cape Fear ATV/ MX Park

Cape Fear ATV/ MX Park and Family Campground is right on the Cape Fear River. With our natural setting and different types of terrain, we are the ideal place to ride. We have mud pits for mud bogging, sand for the sports quads, and many trails for your family to enjoy. We also have a MX tract suitable for riders of all ages. Bring your camping and fishing gear and enjoy all the fun. There’s a lot to do around here on your lazy day. Whether you are just starting out or if you are an experienced rider, we have areas for you.
